Job Overview

The Department of Otolaryngology is seeking candidates for an Audiologist to function as an independent practitioner within our ENT practice. They will provide comprehensive, continuous, and personalized care to patients. The individual will provide patient/family education and will be expected to participate in teaching. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week), Monday-Friday position; primarily in our Clifton location however occasional travel to our West Chester office may be required.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain a clinical caseload in designated clinical area.
  • Provide evidence-based evaluation and treatment to a variety ofmedically challenging patient populations.
  • Provide quality service delivery techniques that facilitate optimum services to meet patient needs being sensitive to patients' age, social, cultural, educational and vocational background.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and within the designated time frame, which may include report writing, billing, and/ or professional education database.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team as well as with Division colleagues to promote best care of the patient.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives within assigned work area under the supervision of Director of Audiology.
  • Remain current in clinical practice through lectures, literature, and other educational opportunities.
  • Maintain confidentiality pertaining to patient care and all Division policies and procedures.
  • Respond promptly to communication (e.g., e-mail, pages, and phone messages).
  • Meets and adheres to state licensure board and Division clinical practice guidelines.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

Doctoral Degree in audiology (AuD or PhD) or Master's Degree in audiology, Master of Arts or Master of Science.

Required Trainings/Certifications

License to practice audiology by the State of Ohio.

Required Experience

One (1) year related experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

American Board of Audiology (ABA) Board Certification or ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A).
