SUMMARY
The Credit Portfolio Analyst I prepares financial statement schedules required by the company, its external auditors, the Federal Reserve, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other regulatory authorities to analyze the differences in scenarios including but not limited to changes in risk rating migration, delinquency rates, charge-off and recovery and economic impacts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts data validations to ensure data integrity

  • Completes execution of the current expected credit loss (CECL) model and assesses the adequacy of loss rate within the portfolio.

  • Maintains the CECL model data inputs and recognizes the impacts to the CECL model results.

  • Monitors trends and assesses any potential risks to the CECL model results.

  • Facilitates the completion of the financial reports required for credit portfolio disclosures.

  • Conducts stress testing and analysis of scenarios impacting the portfolio.

  • Reports and discusses significant credit portfolio risks with Senior Management.

  • Administers changes to model inputs to create different outputs based on different scenarios.

  • Provides properly documented, accurate, and timely responses to requests.

  • Facilitates the understanding of the current credit risk management practices and measures that are being implemented.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills.

  • Knowledge of financial institutions through finance or accounting.

  • Familiarity with analytical software and SQL.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required

  • 1-3 years related experience, training, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required
