General Summary of Position We are actively recruiting for a Research Fellow to join our Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team at MedStar Health Research Institute in Baltimore, MD. Learns research design in a specific area of study to contribute to the advancement of health of our patients while impacting all aspects in our tripartite mission of education, research and clinical care. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Develops a rigorous research project with mentor focused on a specific area of study. Effectively disseminates research through journal publications, conference papers, presentations, and other methods. Engages in research funding activities including participating in proposal writing efforts, leading the submission of research proposals, and identifying other funding opportunities. Establishes at least one area of core area of expertise that contributes to research and operational impact. Attends research lectures and clinical conferences as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Education Doctoral degree PhD or DrPH required Experience Experience with research methods preferred Previous experience in healthcare preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent communication and organizational skills are expected. Ability to write and publish in academic journals. Must be highly motivated, dedicated individual, capable of working both independently and on various team projects. This position has a hiring range of $63,793 - $113,318
