The True Food Market Shift Leader partners with the Management team to assist with the daily operating procedures to include staff support, guest interaction, product quality and overall restaurant cleanliness while following True Food Market standards. This role focuses on opening and closing shifts, routines and standards. They will provide guidance and support for team members and are an integral part of the success of the restaurant.

We look for people who:



  • Strong attention to detail, well organized and able to multi-task. High level of personal initiative, action and results oriented
  • 1 - 3 years restaurant leader or key hourly experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Must possess exceptional written and oral communication skills, high level of personal integrity, strong interpersonal and motivational skills, the ability to effectively supervise and instill cooperation in the team, and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Must have or be willing to get ServSafe Certification
  • Experience in Aloha preferred



What you will do:



  • Flexibility during the shift to help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant
  • Make guests feel comfortable and establish a personal connection by using their name, preferences and needs.
  • Accurately take food/beverage orders and enter them into the POS.
  • Deliver food and beverage orders to the standard always providing exemplary service.
  • Communicate regularly with and respond promptly/courteously to all guest requests.
  • Make sure the dining room is always clean and presentable by clearing, cleaning and resetting tables after guests leave.
  • Check floor/bar/restrooms and clean as needed.
  • Assist in dish pit by removing clean dishes from the dish station and stocking them in appropriate areas.
  • Thank guests when leaving and inquire about their experience.
  • Respond sincerely and appropriately to guest requests and communicate if necessary
  • Leads every scheduled shift with passion and drive to create an efficient, productive work environment while adhering to True Food Market guidelines
  • Runs high volume service periods from the floor or expo to ensure food quality, service, touching tables and presentation is up to True Food Market standards
  • Ensures safe production environment, cleanliness, organization and maintenance to ensure a like new restaurant
  • Performs precise line checks and facility walks and participates with all EcoSure & Health inspections
  • Represents True Food Kitchen/Market culture when communicating with guests and responds to all guest complaints and/or inquires within True Food Market standards
  • Oversees all team members while running shifts to True Food Market standards
  • Provides feedback and direction to team members during shift
  • Completes administrative, computer and office tasks as needed on shift
  • Conducts inspirational, informative and effective pre-shift line ups
