At the Data Science Institute (DSI) within the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), we are seeking a Program Manager II who is passionate about data science and excited to shape the future of research and artificial intelligence. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing institute, where you'll lead critical projects and foster collaborations that will have a lasting impact on the field. What You'll Do:
- Support the Research Accelerator Program: Help researchers leverage large datasets and AI tools for cutting-edge research, facilitating impactful discoveries and progress.
- Assist with Graduate Education Programs: Support the development of Master's and PhD programs in Data Science and AI, contributing to the training of future leaders in the field.
- Support Faculty Recruitment: Play a role in recruiting top talent for the Data Science Institute, helping to build a strong team to advance MCW's research capabilities.
- Coordinate Outreach and Partnerships: Build strong relationships with regional institutions like Marquette, UW-Milwaukee, and MSOE to help organize and elevate the data science community in the region.
- Manage Program Success: Oversee project timelines, manage deliverables, and ensure that all programs meet institutional and regulatory standards.
- Organize Data Science Projects: Work with faculty to drive cutting edge data science and artificial intelligence research projects and develop new initiatives.
Preferred Schedule:
Monday-Friday Standard Business Hours with some flexible needed to meet bussiness needs
Position Requirements:
Position Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Data Science, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of project or program management experience, ideally within research, higher education, or healthcare settings.
- Skills: Strong project management expertise with the ability to oversee complex programs. PMP certification preferred. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills are essential.
- Traits: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a strategic thinker who can work independently while driving key initiatives forward.

- Work Environment: This role will not be fully remote. You'll need to be within commuting distance of our main campus in Milwaukee, WI, with an expectation to work on-site for at least 3 days per week.
