The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Laboratory staff and workflow to meet Customer and Regulatory requirements.

What you will do with us:

  • Supervises workflow and technical staff in execution of Laboratory testing, in support of regulatory and quality system compliance to meet Customer specifications.
  • Mentors and develops staff for future opportunities
  • Provides regular feedback to staff on performance.
  • Ensures purchasing of laboratory supplies meets departmental needs and approves purchase requisitions.
  • Identifies operational opportunities for improvement to efficiency, quality and/or cost.
  • Participates in the interview process for open positions, makes recommendations for hiring.
  • Evaluates procedures and executes Document Change Orders.
  • Initiates and executes Quality System Investigations, Customer Dissatisfactions and Corrective actions as required by procedure.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a laboratory
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role

  • Must have knowledge of standard laboratory techniques and common laboratory equipment use.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum Intermediate level on Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to work under control in pressure situations and adapt rapidly to change.
  • Ability to work well with others.
