Full Time Description & Requirements POSITION SUMMARY This position provides tax preparation services related to firm and partner tax matters. Work includes management of individual partner returns prepared by the team, preparation and review of individual tax returns and extensions, preparation of individual tax projections, responding to tax notices, and related tax administration matters and service. Work also includes assistance with workpapers and return preparation of the firm's federal and state tax returns. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES * Assistance with management and implementation of partner individual tax returns processes, as needed. *Management of offshore services tax preparation. *Review of individual partner income tax returns prepared by offshore services and other Forvis Mazars partner services team members. *Preparation of individual partner returns may also be required based on capacity and workload. *Preparation of individual tax projections for estimates and planning purposes, responding to notices, and answering questions during the year. *Assistance with workpapers and preparation, as needed, of Federal Partnership and multi-state tax returns for Forvis Mazars LLP and related entities. *Stay current on federal and state tax laws and regulations as they relate to Partnerships and Individuals. *Assist with Tax Planning Strategies for Firm and Individual Partners, including preparation and review of tax projections at the firm level and individual level. *Miscellaneous other firm tax matters, tax returns, and related items. *Must be able to evaluate multiple tasks for prioritization and effective completion of assigned matters. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES *Demonstrated knowledge of federal large partnerships, multi-state returns, individual tax returns, and state and local tax matters required *Some business travel required * Position serves as an immediate supervisor to Associate to Manager levels on team, which approximates 5-7 people. This includes coaching responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's Degree in accounting, tax or relevant field * At least 5 years of progressive experience in tax preparation required * CPA License * Master's degree in Tax preferred #LI-CH2 Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) Pursuant to Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range displayed is for the Colorado market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Positions that are non-exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.
