Job Description:

Vertex Professional Services, LLC (VPS) located in Troy, MI is looking for a Business Process Analyst to assist in the analysis, design and support of a customer facing Learning Management System as well and general program support. This position is required to interface with all levels of employees and organization leaders to ensure VPS establishes a world class learning experience for our customers. Responsibilities may include but not limited to the following:

• Documenting system specifications and business requirements
• Participating in technical design reviews
• Execute system testing as required
• Supporting new system implementation
• Performing system administration
• Work with Customer business leads to develop user manuals / system support documentation
• Project Management to include schedule and scope management
• Project planning and status reporting
• Activity tracking and status reporting against project timelines
• Coaching of junior members of the team to share knowledge
• Performing other tasks, as needed, in support of the maintenance of existing customer or internal systems

Required Skills:

• At least 15 years' experience in a fast paced business environment
• At least 10 years Learning Management System (LMS) experience
• Strong working knowledge of VPS custom LMS
• Advanced query capability, systems engineering, and database structures
• Systems knowledge with an understanding of underlying aspects of web-based application development / services, databases, browsers, and client/server architectures
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Work in a high performance team environment
• Detail oriented, to ensure accuracy of data and reports
• Meet customer deliverable dates
• Collect and analyze data for additional reports and business requirements
• Handle multiple tasks in both individual and team environments
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with database concepts is a plus

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Training, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
