Production Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As the Production Unit Manager at ABB in Senatobia, MS, this position is responsible for managing an assigned product group within the factory operations accountable for Safety, Quality, Revenue Achievement, Productivity & Efficiency. This operations position provides direct guidance to Production Supervisors and 200+ hourly associates and is required to function as the area continuous improvement (lean) champion.
This role will need to work onsite (#LI-Onsite) in our Senatobia, MS facility.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Creating, implementing, and reviewing production and manufacturing strategy. Working with other functions to make optimization plan for the product group assigned to increase operational excellence and customer delivery requirements.
- Ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed for a flexible, skilled workforce. Managing (with HR Support) development and accountability of production organization.
- Enabling achievement of established business targets, through definition and governance of improvement actions as needed. Focusing on achievement of Safety, Quality, Revenue, Productivity, Efficiency, and Cost Reduction.
- Implementing HSE initiatives and maintain business compliance standards and regulations. Creating, operating and sustaining a clean, safe working environment that meets world class standards to eliminate safety risk and potential hazards on factory floor.

Qualifications for the role
  • - Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering or related field preferred, OR Associates Degree with 8 Years Experience in Manufacturing
  • - Minimum 5 years of manufacturing/project management experience.
  • - Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • - Strong ERP experience in Americas SAP (AMSAP) or SAP Torque. (Strong demonstrated experience in other ERP is considered)
  • - Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • - Quality management tools and databases
  • - Must be analytical and well organized.
  • - Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
