Department:CENTRAL SERVICES OFFICE Organizational Unit:Fleet Services (50000014) Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time Open Until Filled. $1,942.03 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/Wickham Road/Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, will be required to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Performs experienced technical work coordinating and maintaining the County fuel delivery system. REQUIREMENTS: Two (2) years [4,160 hours] of documented hands-on experience as an automotive service writer/consultant or service manager PLUS one (1) year of experience working with fuel systems PLUS one (1) year of experience working with a computerized bookkeeping and/or inventory control system. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must possess, or successfully complete within thirty (30) days of employment, an approved Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Florida Underground Storage Tank (UST) Class A/B Operator Training course. Must possess, or obtain within sixty (60) days of employment, a valid active Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) C1 Service Consultant certification, and maintain said certification in an active status during the term of employment. Must possess, or obtain within six (6) months of employment, an active OSHA Hazardous Materials First Responder Operations (FRO) Level II certification in accordance with 20 CFR 1910.120, and maintain said certification in an active status during the term of employment. Must be physically capable at all times of properly wearing and utilizing the appropriate respiratory protection and any other personal protective equipment (PPE), as required. Must be able to climb to a height of up to eighteen (18) feet and work on the edge of a tank. Must be able to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
