HJF is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II to perform core and high-acuity clinical research coordination activities in support for the Gynecologic Cancer Center of Excellence (GYN-COE) Program and the Women's Health Integrated Research Center (WHIRC) with multi-site clinical research protocols and translational research studies aligned with military readiness, cancer capabilities, integrated women's health, disparity investigations, predictive analytics, precision oncology, and cancer moon shot initiatives. . Supervised by either a Clinical Research Manager and/or Director of Clinical Research.

This position will be in support of Gynecologic Cancer-Center of Excellence (GYN-COE).

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Responsibilities

  • Implement data checks and programmatic review of clinical reporting forms, source documents and available records to identify and correct inconsistencies, errors, and gaps. Issue and resolve queries. Organize and manage longitudinal cancer procedures, treatments, biomarkers and follow up data.
  • Export, abstract, review, summarize and manage data from medical records and patients adeptly using different electronic medical record and research data systems. Complete clinical reporting forms, Implement follow data sweeps. Acquire, format, and redact source documents.
  • Coordinate with collaborating sites to provide training, enhance recruitment, expedite resolution of queries, implement priorities, execute corrective action plans, launch new initiatives, and to support study participants to contribute data and/or specimens.

  • Manage clinical datasets for translational investigations. Track and summarize contribution and activities. Provide written and verbal updates. Develop and deliver PowerPoint presentations. Contribute to monthly, interim, annual, and final reports. Strengthen and execute standard operating procedures and training materials.
  • Upgrade, harmonize and credential research records to align different disease classification, staging and grading editions, versions, and systems. Classify disease distribution, residual disease, and pathogenic alterations.
  • Adheres to legal, professional and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy. Assures that protocol requirements are achieved within Good Clinical Practices
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for this position.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of medical and oncology terms and reports as well as cancer treatments.

  • Technically savvy with Excel and PDF files

  • Experience multitasking in medical record systems and electronic data capture systems.

  • CITI trained in federal and local regulations and policies pertinent to research involving human subjects.

  • Highly-motivated learner eager to be challenged to grow skills and capabilities.

  • Excellent interpersonal and computer skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and to work with individuals of all levels.

  • Expertise with REDCap, Nextcloud, EPIC, Centric, Cerna, SPSS, SAS, R and/or python are preferred.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.

Compensation:

  • The annual salary range for this position is $57,650-$80,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
