Summary:

The Respiratory Care Practitioner III role has an in-depth knowledge of cardiopulmonary pathology, respiratory diagnostic techniques, treatment methods and equipment selection and maintenance for chronic, acute and emergency care in all hospital areas including intensive care and outpatient settings and demonstrates excellent clinical practice characterized by the ability to recognize salient aspects of patient care situations and quickly identify problems and solutions.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate from AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy required.

2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license in Respiratory Care, RRT, or CRRT required. Current BLS certification required. Current ACLS, PALS and NRP Certifications required or must obtain within one year of start date or according to department guidelines.

3. Experience: Three years of practical clinical experience required. Six months of experience at MH MMCP preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Respiratory Care Practitioner II role.
