Description MaineHealth Maine Medical Center isseekinga Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join our team as a Psychiatric HospitalConsultant Professionalin Portland, Maine. We are a cohesive team representing many disciplines, including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Resident Physicians and Medical Students. We value teamwork and strive to nurture a supportive environment. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides psychiatric consultation to inpatients at Maine Medical Center. The candidate should have a comfort working with patients with substance use disorders. They provide face to face psychiatric evaluations and medication recommendations to patients on medical/surgical units. Due to the hospital-based setting, an ability to multitask and manage acute clinical scenarios is essential. Schedule: Full time - 32 hours per week, 4-8 hour shifts including weekend shifts.
