*32 hours/week schedule is also available.

Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) is required

Position Summary

An exciting opportunity for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with interest, training and experience integrating behavioral health services into specialty care settings. This position is located at MaineHealth Specialty Care in Portland where you will find a team dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of transgender, gender diverse and questioning people across Northern New England. The behavioral health provider works closely with the care team and other specialists to offer comprehensive care. The behavioral health provider would offer screenings, assessments, and focused treatment to patients of the practice. Treatment structure includes individual, family, and group work. Additional functions of the role includes linking patients to additional services and supports, providing curbside consultation to providers, and participating in population health activities that targets the health and wellbeing of specific groups of people.

Your work in this setting is enhanced by being part of a medical team with solid experience in integrated work. Collaborative work with psychiatrists and other integrated clinicians in the MaineHealth system adds to the experience. Individual and peer supervision, psychiatry consultation and quarterly day long trainings are added benefits of this position. Upon successful onboarding, our team has the option to work a hybrid schedule, allowing for 1-2 days/week to work remotely.

This position is a generalist master's level mental health Clinician with interest, training and/or experience integrating mental health services into the primary care setting. This position will be placed in primary care practices, work with adults, families and children; and provide assessment, screening, and referral services. Additionally, brief individual therapy, prevention and educational services will be provided and include collaborative work with primary care physicians and their office staff, psychiatrists and other behavioral health providers.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Master's Degree in Social Work/Clinical Counseling from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work/Counselor Education required.

2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) preferred, or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor by exception. Valid Driver's license required.

3. Experience: Two years of relevant experience in a health or mental health setting preferred.
