Project Manager (Engineering)

We are searching Project Manager (Engineering) role on behalf of our client. This is a 1 yr. contract assignment. The person will be part of the base capital engineering group and will be responsible for managing projects at the client's existing natural gas and coal generation facilities. The project manager engineering role will be on our strategic capital side, managing more large complex projects, in the renewables space such as installing new, large equipment or systems that help then meet their future strategic goals. This role will be responsible for managing projects cradle to grave.

Onsite position. This is a 1 yr. contract assignment (W-2)

Responsibilities

• Will be responsible for working with the many departments to collaborate and bring the teams together.
• May need to work with the siting and the environmental group, definitely the sourcing group; getting contracts issued, project controls to assist with budget management and schedule development and meeting some of our reporting requirements with the capital asset accounting group, in addition to plant operations.
• These roles require someone who brings the teams together, who's a good communicator and can make sure these projects are executed successfully.

Requirements:

• Must have an Engineering degree in one of the following disciplines: civil, electrical, chemical and/or mechanical.
• Chemical/mechanical experience is required.
• Must have 5-7 years of experience in the disciplines above is required.
• Would also like to see some utility experience; oil and gas would be great as well.
• At least 2 years of experience with managing projects is also required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Must have leadership experience/experience leading large teams, building morale, etc. Cross functional team experience within a large matrixed organization is a plus!
