Position Overview: GSK's US Oncology is seeking a Sr. Director, Key External Expert Engagement. This role reports to the US VP of Oncology Marketing and is a member of the Oncology Marketing Leadership Team. You will lead a field-based team responsible for engaging Key External Experts (KEEs) to support GSK's Oncology portfolio.

This is a field-based leadership role that will lead a team focused on 3 areas:

  • Build/maintain US key external expert network and gather actionable insights
  • Understand US KEE sentiment across national, regional and local congresses
  • Impact brand strategy through insight sharing and collaboration across cross-functional team

Strong focus on coaching and developing this field-based team to appropriately support the growth of the Oncology portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure development of prioritized KEE targets and execution plans including development, execution, and measurement of core KPIs for the Thought Leader Liaisons (TLLs).
  • Increase GSK Oncology presence through leadership of executive encounters and KEE engagements, including collaborating with brand teams on and attending all priority National, Regional and Local Regional medical conferences.
  • Deliver comprehensive insight gathering through customer interactions and understand KEE sentiments towards GSK assets/data, and ensure summarized insights are integrated into brand planning.
  • Identification and management of relationships with all speakers, inclusive of supporting training and onboarding.
  • Work closely with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance partners to ensure all activities of this team are in line with GSK policies and on label (promotional focus).
  • Inspire, lead, and influence innovation and synergies across team.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with the required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry, including experience in sales, account management, and/or marketing
  • Oncology experience
  • Experience directly leading a team
  • Experience in strategy development and execution
  • Ability to work some weekends, approximately 50-60% travel

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Scientific and business acumen, and ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines
  • Experience in strategy development and execution
  • Experience collaborating with brand teams and sales leadership
  • Experience leading a large team
  • Ability to lead through change and ambiguity, and inspire agility/flexibility amongst team
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior commercial leadership and confidently defend informed recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to apply regional data and analyses to drive high-impact business decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively across a matrix environment and influence without formal authority
