Sentara RMH is now hiring a Health record & Information Tech- I to join our team!

This is a Full time, onsite position with work shift -Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM

Job Description

Account and prepare all documents for precision scanning into the electronic medical record with strict attention to maintain patient confidentiality guidelines for safeguarding patient medical information. Required to work within many different computer environments to track, scan, identify, validate and access medical records. Responsible to maintain data and statistics to support activities.
Required Qualification:
Graduate of an approved Health Information Technology/Management training program can be substituted for one year of medical records data job experience.
High School Grad or Equivalent required
Knowledge of general medical terminology.
Experience preferred working within different windows in a computer environment and ability to work in duplicate systems during periods of implementation.
Critical thinking Ability to multi task in a rapidly changing environment and prioritize tasks/functions.
Work individually and in a team environment.
Have organizational skills, eye-hand coordination, strong attention to detail, able to problem solve and meet process document standards as established.
