Your deep analytics, data science, and machine learning expertise and consulting mindset, coupled with an original approach to your work, will help clients and stakeholders make sense of their data and encourage actionable results. We're looking for someone like you to lead complex data exploration and analytics projects through your experience with Python, SQL, Docker, NLP, Unit Testing, AWS, and MLOps for critical research and development initiatives supporting the Army.

As an advanced Data Scientist on our team, you'll learn and apply innovative AI, machine learning, and data science methodologies to make a real-world impact on advancing cutting-edge technologies for Army applications. With your background in data science and AI/ML, you will support the transition of basic and applied research into prototype solutions for a broad range of Army use cases. You'll grow your skills in data science, AI, machine learning operationalization process, and predictive modeling and shape the future of analytics through a variety of means like patents, peer-reviewed papers, major conference presentations, and code submissions. We'll keep you sharp and moving forward in your career, with access to online courses, the latest tools and methods, and opportunities to publish or present at conferences.

You Have:

  • Experience with developing software development kits with standardized Docker base images and reusable functions

  • Experience in developing machine learning pipelines, including model training, deployment, and unit testing

  • Experience with cloud migration of large databases, optimizing for cost, security, and scalability

  • Experience designing and implementing tools for data entry, querying, and reporting within cloud-based databases

  • Knowledge of vision-based technologies

  • Ability to train and validate object detection models

  • Ability to identify and solve issues with data drift and data quality

  • Secret clearance

  • Master's degree in Engineering

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with training custom-named entity recognition models to accurately parse data

  • Ability to design, develop, unit test, and deploy an automated data pipeline for sentence matching, leveraging trained bi-encoder and cross-encoder model

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Doctorate degree in Engineering

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
