Your Job

Georgia-Pacific (GP) is seeking an Automation Operational Lead to join our Automation & Platform team in Atlanta, GA. As a member of the Automation team, the Platform Automation Operational Lead will work within Georgia-Pacific's multiple businesses with focus on leading automated guided vehicle OEM engagement for new site installations and installed fleet sustainment.

Our Team

This is a dynamic role that advances opportunities within Georgia Pacific's manufacturing facilities by creating value in overall operational readiness and sustainability across three Operating Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) platforms. This role will report to the Automation and Robotics AGV Platform Leader.

What You Will Do

* Lead operational readiness for fleet startups (i.e. new fleets and vehicles being added to existing fleets).
* Lead operational heath reviews as well as the completion of any action items resulting from a project or operational health study.
* Identify improvement opportunities post fleet implementation within the project scope.
* Understand and apply comprehensive data/metrics/KPI of AGV Fleets to verify that they are performing to design, and getting existing fleets back to design.
* Lead optimization opportunities for long-term sustainability of Automated Guided and Laser Guided vehicles within the system.
* Organize and lead Final Performance Tests (FPT) efforts and follow ups.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Able to travel up to 50%
* Operational experience with Automated Guided or Laser Guided Vehicles and automated systems
* Experience supporting internal and external customers within a manufacturing or industrial setting

What Will Put You Ahead

* Bachelor's Degree or higher in an engineering field with emphasis in reliability engineering
* Experience within a reliability / maintenance and/or planning capacity
* Experience using SAP as a super user
* Experience troubleshooting using data
* Project management experience
