Overview
To be part of our organization, every employee should understand and share in the YNHHS Vision, support our Mission, and live our Values. These values-integrity, patient-centered, respect, accountability, and compassion-must guide what we do, as individuals and professionals, every day. EEO/AA Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran The orientation is designed for new graduate RNs who are looking for an entry-level nursing position. Shifts will vary and may change based on assignment. All new graduate RNs will be automatically enrolled in a one year Nurse Residency Program that is designed to support the transition from academia to professional nursing practice. The program focus is on nursing leadership, quality outcomes, and the professional role. Responsibilities The New Graduate Inpatient RN to ED Bridge Program will provide nurses with an interest in working in the Emergency Department an opportunity to begin their nursing career and grow their skill set on a Cardiac Telemetry unit on the Bridgeport campus. Upon completion of the nurse residency program on the Cardiac Telemetry Unit, and successfully demonstrating competence in practice for 12-18 months, the RN will then transfer to an 8-week accelerated transition program in the Emergency Department. The accelerated transition program cohorts will begin in the Winter of 2025/26 depending on the timing of the accelerated training program. Shifts are assigned based on the needs of the hiring unit. Selected candidates will be asked to complete references via an email link. References should include a minimum of 2 clinical instructors and 1 work reference.
