What You Will Do

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to manage a suite of APIs, SDKs, and integrations with the Trimble platform services.

As an API and SDK Product Manager, you'll be hands-on in defining, developing and maintaining Trimble Field Systems API and SDK products. You will be responsible for ensuring the technical excellence and robustness of our APIs, SDKs, and integrations based on the needs of internal and external developers and consumers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Own the overall product experience for developers

  • Ensure the technical quality and performance, scalability, and security of APIs and SDKs

  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams, stakeholders, and customers to design, develop and maintain APIs and SDKs.

  • Develop comprehensive API and SDK documentation and support materials to facilitate developer onboarding and integration

  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure best practices in API and SDK development

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to API and SDK integrations

  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track API and SDK performance and usage and set up metrics and reporting mechanisms to measure success and adoption.

  • Work with developers to gather technical requirements and feedback to continuously improve our API and SDK offerings

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in API and SDK technologies

  • Provide technical support and conduct training sessions for internal teams and external developers during the integration process

  • Manage and prioritize the API and SDK product backlog, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement...

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field

  • 2-3 years of experience in a technical product management or development role, with a focus on APIs and SDKs

  • Strong technical background, preferably with experience as a professional software developer

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or similar

  • Experience with API design, RESTful services, and best practices

  • Familiarity with SDK development and distribution

  • Knowledge of security, authentication, and authorization best practices and standards in API and SDK development.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail , with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Strong communication skills in English (written and oral) with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various stakeholders and adapt messages to the technical level of the audience.

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

Ideally, You Also Have:

  • Advanced degree in a technical area

  • Experience with developer products and ecosystems, preferably B2B

  • Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, JIRA)

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Passion for technology and keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements
