Customer Service Associates serve as the primary point of contact for prospects and customers, addressing general inquiries, pricing, availability, terms, account information, shipping details, and more. They play a key role in building and maintaining strong business relationships by delivering prompt, accurate service that fosters customer loyalty. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills. They are a motivated team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide product pricing, availability, and lead time information to customers.
  • Create accounts and maintain customer records, addresses, contacts, requirements and preferences in ERP and CRM databases.
  • Interact with shipping departments to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery of customer orders.
  • Problem solve customer order issues, track, and expedite orders.
  • Manage communication with Sales and other departments to proactively respond to customer needs and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Answer customer questions or direct customer inquiries about our products, services, and other business functions.
  • Ensure that purchase orders are processed timely and accurately, manage blanket orders and customer contracts.
  • Ensure that complaints are handled efficiently and promptly with abundant communication.
  • Ensure that samples are processed efficiently and timely.
  • Proactively contact existing customers to seek new orders. Follow-up quotations to secure new orders.
  • Work with outside sales team to provide support and service customers.



Qualifications and Experience

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2-3 years' experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Proficient with Customer Relationship Management software Salesforce
  • Excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Customer Service experience with an Industrial Manufacturing company a plus
  • Working knowledge of ERP software such as Microsoft Dynamics AX D365
  • Understanding of ISO 9000 and AS9100 aerospace quality systems a plus
