Job Summary

The Business Analyst, Marketing Technology plays an important role in shaping and implementing the technology and business capabilities roadmap, and serves as a key business support resource, responsible for managing and executing the future-state vision of our MarTech stack. The role involves close collaboration with Product Owners, Business Leaders, and other Stakeholders to communicate and organize business needs within the overarching roadmap. Additionally, it requires ongoing partnership with Technology Leaders from Retail Technology manage defined MarTech initiatives that drive business outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to a product vision that consistently prioritizes customers, aligning with our company's strategy. This demands an understanding of customer needs and friction points. It involves actively engaging with customer feedback by monitoring calls, analyzing surveys, and planning strategically to enhance customer experiences while optimizing current and future business outcomes.
  • Support project planning activities, including defining project scope, timelines, and resources.
  • Coordinate and support UAT activities, ensuring that stakeholders validate the solutions against their needs.
  • Work across functional teams to unify product development efforts and ensure transparent communication of goals, progress, and updates.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Marketing and Technology stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and support.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • 5-7 years relevant work experience in a marketing, technology, or related field.
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of market trends, consumer circumstances and behaviors, user needs, and business objectives as well as an ability to translate them into actionable plans for development teams.
  • Technical proficiency to evaluate relevant technologies and software options.
  • Ability to make informed decisions on product features and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to collaborate.
  • Analytical mindset with proven ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with Marketing platforms (e.g., SFMC, Adobe, etc.) a plus.
  • Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications are applicable to the above skills and requirements.

Key Metrics

  • Roadmap Delivery : how closely the final delivery of projects aligns with the initially planned roadmap and the alignment of delivered features with the defined business objectives and associated timelines.
  • Business Impact of Delivered Initiatives : direct impact of technology initiatives on business performance. Key performance indicators (KPIs) could include increased revenue, customer counts, cost reduction, improved customer satisfaction scores, or enhanced operational efficiency tied directly to the implemented initiatives.
  • Innovation and Improvement : the degree to which the initiatives led by the Marketing Technology team contribute to technological innovation and business process improvements within the company.
