Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Controls Specialist in our Bowling Green, Kentucky stamping facility. The Controls Specialist is responsible for continuously improvingautomated systemsto increaseequipment efficiency inhigh-throughput operations. The ideal candidate will have prior controls experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:



  • Support MaintenanceManagementby communicating effectively and providing guidance to both the Electrical and Automation Teams
  • Execute industrial mechanical knowledge of process automation, PLC programming, HMIimprovementsandrobotic operations
  • Ensure functional design specifications are understood and successfully delivered on time and within budget
  • Involvement in new project engineering and controls programming
  • Utilize lean-manufacturing principles by improving process capability, reducing overall costs, and increasing capacity



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Post-secondaryeducation in engineering, instrumentation, process control or electronics
  • 5 years of relevant experience related to industrial process automation
  • Ability to prepare technical documentation such as shop drawings, operatingmanuals,training manuals, equipment reports, and employee assessments
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to lead and mentor Jr. associates; exercise a strong sense of teamwork



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 10 years of relevant experience related to industrial process automation
