Job Summary With limited guidance, for Key's retirement plans, responsible for setting strategic direction for benefit plans, monitoring key metrics, corresponding with vendors, developing plan designs, and developing and implementing communications plans.
Responsibilities
- Develops strategic direction for retirement plans, supporting plan designs and pricing, and makes recommendations to senior management. Conducts or oversees vendor Request for Proposals, if applicable, to ensure competitive contract terms for each retirement plan.
- Oversees benefits data to develop programs and benefit design features for cost efficiency and productivity enhancement.
- Oversees plan financial performance in coordination with internal accounting groups and vendor account teams.
- Manages vendor relationships, working with account teams to integrate best practices and products into plan offerings to create market competitive programs.
- Assists with daily administration requirements in Fidelity for Key's retirement programs.
- Gathers and analyzes external industry trends and research to help inform Key's overall retirement strategy and program offerings.
- Analyzes program effectiveness through aggregating reporting from external vendors and internal sources and creating reports for various audiences (Shared Services team members, leaders, etc.).
- Analyzes data in order to determine trends, anomalies, and gaps. Utilizes analytical insights to develop and present meaningful recommendations.
- Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and laws and completes Risk Control self-Assessment (RCSA) testing in GRC as necessary. Monitors legislative and regulatory developments that relate to retirement plans. Handles internal and external audit requests.
- Supports technology related projects for retirement programs to enhance employee experience and streamline internal processes.
- Works closely with internal Shared Services partners, legal department, corporate accounting, and payroll teams regarding taxation, legal issues, etc.
- Researches and responds to inquiries and claims regarding retirement balances, retirement distributions, retiree medical benefits, etc.
- Monitors retirement plans for plan and legislative compliance elements. Ensures retirement plans are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and internal requirements.
- Supports the various management and board committees.
- Generates solutions and approaches beyond the standard practice. Applies a continuous improvement mindset to the work.
- Oversees the development and execution of plan related communications plans. Develops overall themes and objectives.
- Participates in ongoing and special retirement-related projects.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
Experience Qualifications
- 5 - 10 years relevant experience or experience in a related field
Tactical Skills
- Skilled & experienced with building Microsoft Excel data analysis and graphs, bringing together different data sources & trouble shooting, and client ready Microsoft Power Point presentations. Self starter and self-learner of new skills in Excel and Power Point.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
