Responsible to use the skills and education required to install, repair and conduct preventative maintenance on all plant equipment and the facility as assigned.
1. Maintenance of machine equipment and hand tools;
2. Installation, alteration, preventative maintenance & repair of various types of production equipment;
3. Responsible for proper administration of LOTO, confined space and other OSHA guidelines.
4. Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.
5. Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.
6. Maintain production schedules.
7. Work with groups in initiating and implementation of programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
8. Other duties may be assigned at a later time.
Education required/ preferred:
High School diploma or GED. Minimum of two years trade school or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Industrial experience in a similar industry preferred.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
1. Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
2. Proficient in basic mechanical or electrical skills
3. Excellent precision measuring ability
4. Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and steam systems
5. Understand practical aspects of preventative, predictive maintenance systems & proper lubrication selection & application
Skills/Competencies:
1. Basic computer skills - Microsoft Office package
2. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
3. Ability to use all general mechanical hand tools and light power tools
4. Knowledge of light machine shop tools

1. Ability to work well in a team environment
