Job Description:

Position Summary:

  • Entegris' Technology Development & Modeling (TDM) group is seeking an innovative, dynamic and motivated engineer to join our creative and collaborative team focused on improving our contamination control products. This is a position within the Cleaning Technology Development (CTD) team, which is responsible for driving the overarching cleaning technologyroadmap for filters &purifiers within the Wet Etch and Cleans segment of the high-tech and fast paced semiconductor industry. More specifically this role will focus on assessment of novel technologies and process development to enable their implementation onto products, with the aim of expanding and improving our liquid filtration/purification product usage in aggressive and dilute chemistry applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess feasibility of novel cleaning/conditioning technologies to meet or exceed new product cleanliness requirements without detrimental impact to product performance

  • Design of experiments and statistical analysis to make data driven decisions around feasibility and implementation of novel technologies and materials

  • Design and commissioning of new equipment to support new processes including creation of user requirement specifications, functional requirement specifications, P&ID's, and detail design specifications/equipment specs; 15-25% of travel expected to support these activities

  • Support new filtration media development through collaboration with LMC R&D team

  • Seek and establish external partnerships to further advance and expand technology portfolio

  • Understand market and industry roadmaps to drive development of advanced cleaning technologies ahead of the requirements. Working closely with product managers will be part of this responsibility.

  • Work with analytical groups to ensure test methods and capabilities can effectively measure to new cleanliness targets

  • Technical leadership on technology development projects

  • Act as a technical resource for the extended R&D team members to provide understanding and background on technology fundamentals

  • Serve as mentor and coach to co-ops, interns and new hires

  • Work with Applications Engineering, Product Engineering and Product Managers/Marketing to generate detailed reports, data packages and technical papers to support the performance of new products.

  • Perform administrative functions such as writing monthly status reports, expenditures and other documentation.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with 10+ year of applicable experience or Master's degree with 5+years of applicable experience

  • Experience in the following areas are a plus:

  • Semiconductor processes, specifically Wet Etch and Cleans

  • Fluid handling equipment especially filtration and purification

  • Equipment design and P&ID

  • Project leadership experience

  • Proven track record of project leadership in equipment design and commissioning

  • Substantial hands-on experience in lab and manufacturing environments

  • In depth understanding of process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation drawings, and valve state tables for recipe control

  • General working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers and Process Control

  • Knowledge of cleanroom requirements, cGMPs and Lean Manufacturing a plus

  • Proven ability to innovate and create uncommon solutions for technical challenges

  • Must be willing to be hands-on in chemicals lab and manufacturing environments

  • Statistical analysis training with demonstrated usage

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to lead task force level efforts to troubleshoot, diagnosis and repair critical line down equipment issues for Pilot Line and manufacturing operations
