ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)

The Senior Analyst - Investment Strategy will report to and directly support the Managing Director of Investment Strategy for the Chief Investment Office (CIO) of Key Wealth. Duties include support for multiple initiatives that center around the establishment of enhanced communication practices between the Chief Investment Office and multiple client-facing segments, including Key Private Bank (KPB) and Key Investment Services (KIS). The primary objective in this role is to provide support that strengthens the effectiveness of KPB Portfolio Strategists/Managers and KIS advisors (collectively referred to as "Advisors") in their implementation of portfolio guidance, strategies and solutions developed within the Chief Investment Office.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Collective success will be defined by actions to promote collaboration of Key Wealth personnel with the Chief Investment Office that results in expanded integration of CIO portfolio solutions into client portfolios. The Senior Analyst will assist in creating tools to evaluate the impact of CIO advice on client outcomes and will design methods to maximize utilization levels of investment recommendations and offerings across KPB and KIS. This will consist of the following activities and responsibilities:

Internal Investment Communications
- Provide support, research and analysis for a wide range of weekly, monthly and quarterly investment communications initiatives that are either led by the Managing Director of Investment Strategy or at the direction of the Chief Investment Officer. Responsibilities include gathering data and/or preparing analysis and presentations for the following meetings/events:

  • Weekly Morning Call for advisors providing insights on the markets, economy and our overall Thought Leadership ideas
  • Weekly Investment Insights Call for advisors regarding portfolio solutions, expanded investment strategies and general investment/economic topics
  • Monthly communication to advisors regarding our overall Investment Outlook, Asset Allocation strategy, Equity and Fixed Income strategy and other applicable Investment Strategies/Solutions
  • Monthly/Quarterly updates on specific existing investment managers/solutions and those that have recently been added to our platform and are available for client access (including public and private investment managers) in conjunction with the Investment Research Team
  • Quarterly meetings with advisors in local offices across Key's 15-state footprint
  • Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly investment email communications and investment reports
  • Maintenance, management and support for our internal SharePoint/Seismic websites that provide immediate access to all investment content developed by the Chief Investment Office for use by advisors/clients
  • Helps to develop and maintain a library of educational presentations comprised of a broad series of pertinent topics, ranging from traditional to alternative strategies, that present a clear synopsis of traditional and alternative investment solutions, economic concepts, market dynamics, and behavioral fi nance
  • Various projects to evaluate and summarize the effectiveness of our investment platform
  • Support for the creation of multi-media investment education content

External/Client Investment Communications
- Provide support/analysis for a wide range of weekly, monthly and quarterly investment communications initiatives that are either led by the Managing Director of Investment Strategy or with the Chief Investment Officer and the Key Wealth Institute. Responsibilities include gathering data and/or preparing analysis/content for the following:

  • Monthly reporting for client investment reviews on the markets, economy and our insights
  • Weekly podcast
  • Monthly/Quarterly local and regional meetings with clients/prospects to provide our investment and economic outlook
  • National Client Calls/webcasts to provide our investment and economic outlook and/or timely updates on relevant topics
  • Coordination and content creation for client/prospect site visits
  • Research and analysis on a wide variety of investment and economic topics that lead to the creation of Thought Leadership articles produced by the Chief Investment Office
  • Research and analysis on a wide variety of investment and economic topics that lead to the support for media interviews engaging multiple members of the Chief Investment Office
  • Serves as an advocate for cultivating a culture of investment expertise and thought leadership amongst colleagues and clients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of highly relevant investment experience
  • Familiarity with full spectrum of asset classes, and a proponent of multi-strategy solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or related area
  • CIMA, CFP or other investment designations or graduate degree in business, fi nance, economics or related area are preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and outstanding listening skills
  • Experience in investment/advisory roles directly supporting clients and/or new business opportunities
  • Team orientation and collaborative, and excellent relationship building skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; strong proficiency in creation of charts and graphs to articulate/explain investment concepts
  • Strong proficiency in Morningstar Direct as well as experience with the FRED database
  • Strong proficiency in SharePoint and other systems
  • High emotional intelligence and strong sense of self
  • Uncompromising integrity and a "Culture Crusader" for the Chief Investment Office, and KPB as a whole
