JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State's Office for Research Protections (ORP) seeks a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) Quality Assurance Specialist. The IACUC Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist will report to the Director of the IACUC and work closely with researchers, IACUC program staff, the Animal Resource Program, and other University offices to ensure the University's Animal Care and Use Program maintains compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and policies governing the use of vertebrate animals in research, teaching, or testing. Key Responsibilities: This position will perform the following responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor's degree or higher and 3+ years of related experience with animal subject research, animal subject research-related activities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CPIA (Certified Professional IACUC Administrator) credential required within one year of eligibility. The Ideal candidate will:
