Position Summary: Supports the development and management of our organization's IT infrastructure and operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for our IT operations strategy, including managing servers, networking, database administration, IT Service Management (ITSM), cloud services, backup and disaster recovery, monitoring and reporting, security and regulatory compliance. This role will ensure reliability, security and efficiency of our IT systems while leading a team of IT professionals to deliver exceptional service to the organization. This role is located in Erie, PA or Cary, NC with a work schedule of 4 days in the office with 1 day work from home. Scope/Supervision and Interaction: Has Direct Reports Works with Division staff and other Corporate IT staff under the direction and guidance of Enterprise management. Supervises project leader and technical analysts. Maintains operational relationships with vendors and Parker locations. Essential Functions:
- Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the management, maintenance, and lifecycle of servers, networking equipment, and other IT infrastructure components.
- Develop and execute strategy for database management system maintenance, performance and simplification roadmap.
- Ensure high availability and performance of all IT services and systems.
- Establish project management best practices and ensure processes are followed and improved.
- Cloud Services:
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and services strategy, ensuring scalability and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with teams to implement cloud solutions that meet business needs and maintain compliance.
- IT Service Management ITSM):
- Implement and manage ITSM processes to enhance service delivery and support.
- Ensure effective incident, problem and change management practices are in place.
- Create an environment of continuous improvement.
- Backup Disaster Recovery:
- Develop, implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies to protect organizational data.
- Regularly test and update disaster recovery plans to ensure readiness.
- Execute annual disaster recovery plans to ensure readiness.
- Ensure recoverability from disasters and potential cyber-attacks.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Establish monitoring systems to proactively identify and resolve issues within IT infrastructure.
- Generate and present regular reports on systems performance, uptime, and incidents to stakeholders.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain industry best practices security measure to protect IT assets and sensitive data.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as SOX, CMMC, or ISO27001.
- Team Leadership:
- Develop and implement a strategy and roadmap for simplification, standardization, automation and leveraging emerging technologies.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Budget Management:
- Assist in the development and management of the IT operations budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Develop and communicate spending forecasts and ensure timely execution of planned purchases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g. ITIL, APM, CSM, PMP, CISSP) is a plus.
- 8+ years' experience in IT operations, infrastructure management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of server and network administration, virtualization and cloud technologies (e.g. VMWare, Azure, HCI, Cisco).
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow) and monitoring solutions.
- Experience with Agile Methodology and Tools (e.g. Asure DevOps).
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Professionalism: Excellence, timeliness and completeness of work, responsible and team attitude.
- Managerial skills: Supervision and coaching, customer service, planning, organization, oral/written communication.
- Travel Requirement:
- Team is primarily distributed between Cary, NC and Erie, PA. Therefore, travel is required 1-2 times per quarter between these locations.
- Possible travel to other Parker locations as needed.
- Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
