Transportation Services Coordinator

Job Description

Schedules and coordinates couriers to pick-up and deliver specimens. Maintains operational records and information.

Job Responsibility

• Schedules and coordinates couriers to pick-up and deliver specimens.
• Enters names on assignment sheet for each trip.
• Notifies workers of assignment.
• Establishes courier availability.
• Assigns replacement courier, when needed.
• Maintains record of departure and return of courier for each trip including, but not limited to recording total time worked, and number of miles covered, using calculator.
• Receives incoming calls, verifies patient and client information, fills-out the "Will Call" form, receives paperwork, and prepares patient record according to department policy and procedures.
• Prepares and distributes reports.

Job Qualification

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
