Job Summary

The Business Affairs Manager plays a key role in mitigating risk throughout content production, taking a solutions-oriented approach to support the content team. This position provides strategic guidance on all aspects of production, including vendor contracting, content licensing and clearance, talent procurement, trafficking, and budget management and reconciliation. The role oversees the legal, business, and financial components of film, radio, print, and interactive productions for assigned clients. The focus is on delivering high-quality, impactful content that exceeds client marketing objectives while minimizing potential risks.

Job Responsibilities

* Review creative decks and scripts for potential legal issues, including clearance and licensing of third-party content, talent, music, etc.

* Review production company bids and prepare formal production estimates for client approval

* Prepare vendor production agreements; negotiate revisions and liaise with Legal as necessary

* Secure wrap-up insurance for productions

* Handle talent procurement and prepare talent agreements, including standard SAG, non-union and print model agreements

* Conduct preliminary trademark searches

* Work closely with Legal to address potential production liabilities and create solutions for agency and client

* Handle third-party clearances and licensing (including music, stock images, software, etc.) necessary for production

* Facilitate invoice approvals and payment

* Assist producers in closing production jobs for final billing

* Track and maintain meticulous records for all productions

Basic Qualifications

* 2+ years of related work experience in an agency or related business affairs/legal department

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelors degree inarelated field or equivalent training and/or experience

* Knowledge and understanding of SAG Commercials Contract as well as other performance unions

* Understanding of talent engagement both in the US and abroad

* Strong negotiating skills

* Willingness to learn new skills, systems, and information

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while managing urgent deadlines

* Strong organizational and communication skills and ability to interact with various departments within the agency

* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage own workload

* Legal experience or degree ideal

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below.
