Germantown, WI (LLC Support) - Management How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Assistant Manager, SA Pricing & Profitability is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the SA Pricing & Profitability team, including end user pricing activities and chargeback costs assigned to their direct reports &/or functional areas assigned. The role includes assisting the Director of SA Pricing & Profitability with the development, implementation, execution & measurement of Strategic Accounts pricing strategies and policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead the following with respect to employees: recruitment, onboarding, goals and objectives, performance evaluations, recognition and engagement, retention, and performance improvement

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with direct reports and cross-functional teams in support of business and departmental goals

  • Lead by example to promote a customer-service oriented environment and ensure a consistent standard of service in a fast-paced & dynamic atmosphere

  • Daily supervision of staff and workload to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency while maintaining the highest level of quality necessary for the sensitivity of the work performed

  • Manage individual contributors in support of individual performance goals, as well as organizational financial and efficiency goals

  • Ensure teams are resourced to deliver to objectives

  • Be accessible to both internal & external customers, as well as team members to answer inquiries, provide accurate and timely information, and direction as it relates to systems and processes

  • Develop, maintain, and promote consistent price strategies, tools, and analytics that are aligned with Strategic Account pricing and profitability goals

  • Work closely with balance of leadership team to ensure consistent messaging and best practices are adopted within your respective team(s) and beyond

  • Represent SA P&P or ensure SA P&P is properly represented on cross-functional projects impacting assigned market segments or functional areas (e.g. Market Segment Support, OTC, Rollouts, etc.)

  • Responsible for providing monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reporting related to price adjustments

  • Other duties & special projects as assigned

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or other related field or combination of equivalent education and experience working in a related role

Required Length & Type of Experience:

  • Combination of 2-3 years of management experience &/or work in an elevated role with emphasis on pricing, business operations, contract administration, &/or finance

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrates the ability to be trusted with sensitive information

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully in a team atmosphere

  • Demonstrated capacity to escalate issues appropriately, both within & outside the chain of command

  • Comfortable presenting information, providing training and responding to questions effectively from groups in a business setting

  • Demonstrated ability to interact and take direction from all levels of management

  • Effectively coach and mentor in a one-on-one environment

  • Superior organizational skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and comprehend Airgas and Customer contract language

  • Comfortable challenging the status quo with proven ability to identify and communicate process improvement opportunities

  • Advanced skills using multiple software packages including but not limited to:

    • Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel

    • Google Suite, prior experience with Google Sheets a plus

    • SAP/Business Warehouse

  • Knowledge of the gas, hardgoods and safety commodities industry preferred

  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Expert attention to detail with the ability to manipulate large sets of data, navigate and coach to complex procedures

  • Creative problem solver with experience integrating new processes, tools, &/or technology into day-to-day operations and ability to analyze and adjust work procedures to achieve maximum efficiency

  • Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner
