We have an opportunity for a Territory Account Manager to join our Oil & Gas Separations sales team. This business manufactures sustainable gas separation and filtration technologies, primarily for the midstream and downstream Oil and Gas and Petrochemical Processing markets. You will own your territory and sell Pentair's products, solutions, and technologies primarily to end-users and distributor partners. This is a technical sales role that will require you to develop a strong understanding of our technology to build short- and long-term value with technical and functional wins throughout the sales cycle.

** This posting is for one fully remote territory sales position. Ideal candidates will live in any of the posted metropolitan areas with the ability to travel to any of the states in the territory. The territory includes MN, WI, IA, MO, IL, MI, OH, IN, KY, WV, and PA. ** #LI-Remote

You will:

  • Maximize sales revenue of established accounts, as well as targeting new business opportunities and new customers, through the development of key sales relationships.
  • Provide on-site technical presentations and demonstrations of products to customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams in the bid and proposal process by clearly understanding all customer needs and expectations.
  • Listen and understand end-user's needs to continuously innovate new solutions, grow market-share, and penetrate new markets.
  • Anticipate and plan for changing trends in the market and develop sales tools and account plans to achieve the sales targets and goals.

Key Qualifications:

  • Have earned a Bachelor's (B.A. or B.S.) degree. Engineering degree preferred.
  • Have 3-5 years of professional B2B industrial sales experience, preferably in the oil and gas refining or petrochemical processing industry. Engineering experience at a refinery or petrochemical processing plant can be counted in lieu of some sales experience.
  • Strong sales aptitude, including ability to understand customer needs and requirements, identify solutions, build long-term dynamic relationships, and driven to find new markets, channels, and/or accounts.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including ability to understand and interpret mechanical systems (processing, filtration, etc), process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs), bills of material (BOM), and/or layout drawings a plus.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including ability to present technical product information and/or training to end-users and channel partners.

Travel:

  • 30-50% overnight travel for customer visits or team meetings required.
