EEG Tech Trainee - Nights

Please note this position is on the night shift, 7pm - 7:30am (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) once training is completed. For Tech Trainees, training will be completed during day shift for approximately 5 months before transitioning to night shift.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Electroencephalogram (CNL) Technologist Trainee is supervised during the training period if clinical neurophysiology testing including, but not limited to, EEG and portables as ordered by physicians according to established protocols and national ASET guidelines respectfully. At approved points in their training the Technologist will begin to perform the tests independently.

EDUCATION:

Associates of Science degree required; Bachelor preferred. 3-5 years of directly relevant patient care experience required.

EXPERIENCE:

Health care background strongly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SPECIAL SKILLS:
* Good writing and verbal communication
* Excellent comfort level operating personal computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office) and ability to
quickly adapt to other programs.
* High tolerance for ambiguity.
* Acts professionally and calmly in emergent situations.
* Good customer service/patient relations with all age levels from neonate through geriatric.
