Georgia-Pacific is seeking qualified professionals for our Project Engineering Manager opportunity supporting the Crossett, AR Consumer Products manufacturing operation.

The Project Engineering Manager will develop skills of Project Engineering Team to help compete and win at capital execution, own 10-year capital outlook roadmap and deliverable dates, execute value added projects with intent and understanding of the true value created for corporation and site.

The primary responsibility of this position is to execute within reasonable timeline and budget. Application of critical thinking skills to help prioritize safety, sustaining, cost saving, and revenue generating projects to best position our mill for long term value creation. Ability to challenge if value proposition is not clearly defined for project. Maintain integration of Project Engineering and Mill as one team.

Our Team

The Georgia Pacific Mill located in Crossett, AR is located in Southeast Arkansas, Crossett Paper Operations is a manufacturing site where more than 550 employees produce products for the consumer business, including Angel Soft and Quilted Northern bath tissue. Crossett is a safe, modern community at the heart of some of the finest hunting, fishing and wildlife locations in the South, yet is a short drive to shopping, food and entertainment centers and within a few hours of major urban centers.

What You Will Do
* Promote safety through proactive involvement in safety training, adherence to safety policies, and inclusion of company safety initiatives in project deliverables
* Develop the project engineering team by identifying and understanding comparative advantage of individuals and arranging team to most efficiently execute projects
* Skill up team, be lifelong learners, understand what new technologies are emerging in the field that leads to tangible value creation.
* Review projects to understand developed project scopes, objectives, and goals and work with operations team to validate value
* Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
* Track project costs to meet budget
* Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan for 1year, 3year and 10year outlook
* Identify and manage potential risks and liabilities, provide input to risk management plans, and anticipate risks that could adversely impact project success or mill operations
* Perform quality control throughout the projects to maintain standards expected, specifications cited, and relevant governing body regulatory requirements - Ensure proper acceptance tests and inspection criteria are project integrated
* Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers, execute payment on agreed terms, escalate issues to allow timely resolution
* Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress - Communicate with project owners to ensure alignment to project goals
* Delegate tasks to project team members best positioned to complete same and motivate them to complete tasks on time
* Participate in rotating weekend duty to provide operational support as project engineering representative on weekends and holidays

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Bachelor's Degree or 10 plus years in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Three (3) or more years of project management experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Two (2) or more years managing people (supervisor, foreman, area leader)
* Must participate in rotating weekend duty

* Additional years of project management experience
* Computer Skills: EcoSysTM, SAP, Microsoft Project, Auto Cad, large file transfer sites
* Paper Mill, Converting, and Shipping experience
