Sr. Java Developer

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, with extensive experience in building and maintaining Spring applications. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS and REST APIs, and proficiency in Python is a plus. The candidate should be comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to work onsite in Chicago three days a week.

Rate: $72.50 - $77 / hr. w2

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid: Mon & Fri remote, Tue-Thu onsite)

Duration: 12 months

Experience Required: 5+ years

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications using the Spring framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support various applications and services.
• Utilize AWS services to deploy, manage, and scale applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain innovative and effective.

• Strong expertise in Java and Spring applications.
• Proven experience with AWS services and cloud-based application deployment.
• Solid understanding and experience with REST APIs.
• Proficiency in Python is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with Capital One or similar financial institutions.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
