FOX is seeking a Principal Technology Architect with a strong foundation in Information, Security, Network, and Broadcast Technologies, who can effectively design and implement secure, scalable, and innovative architectures across multiple business units. This hands-on role requires a versatile problem-solver with a proactive approach to automation, a strategic mindset, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in broadcast network protocols (including SMPTE 2110), network security, and virtualization, and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with FOX's broader business goals.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Network & Security Implementations: Collaborate with Information Security and Networking teams to define, implement, and maintain secure network architectures-including firewall management, VPN solutions, and network segmentation-to ensure security policy compliance across all FOX business units.
  • Network Design & Strategy: Partner with the network team to develop and execute a comprehensive network architecture framework focused on scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with key vendors to ensure service levels meet expectations, validate technical requirements, and drive procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and optimize infrastructure performance. Optimize infrastructure to meet evolving business needs. Tune alarming and monitoring systems to eliminate noise making operations teams more efficient.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with the Critical Response team and PMO to manage projects, including technology upgrades, expansions, and new integrations, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Develop and maintain processes for up-to-date documentation of network, security, information, and broadcast infrastructures, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Driving Adoption: Promote the adoption of new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve team efficiency and standardize deployment procedures.
  • Leadership: Mentor and support cross-functional teams, fostering skill development, collaboration, and innovation. Guide teams to define requirements, manage expectations, and deliver high-quality solutions, cultivating a motivated and engaged engineering environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the VP of Enterprise Technology and other tech leaders to align architecture with the broader IT strategy and ensure adherence to security policies.
  • Innovation: Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the team remains at the forefront of innovation while maintaining backward compatibility.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Expert knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, MPLS, etc.), network security principles and best practices, cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure), SDN technologies, Microsegmentation, and Spine-leaf architecture.
  • Strong experience in automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible, Git)
  • Proven experience in architecting, deploying, and supporting security architectures such as NGFW, ZTNA, IPS/IDS, NDR, SSE/SASE, and CASB
  • Strong understanding of security protocols, including TACACS, RADIUS, SSL/TLS, SAML, OIDC, IKEv1, and IKEv2
  • Knowledge of DCIM, CMDB, IPAM and Database systems.
  • Broadcast system experience including SMPTE 2110 / Broadcast IP Routing deployments.
  • Skilled in the developing, defining, and enforcing IT security policies that safeguard IT systems.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware NSX, Segmentation, Security).
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on operational efficiency
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.'
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas strategically, influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, and anticipate diverse perspectives and responses.
  • Occasional domestic travel; 25%

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $161,500.00-223,398.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
