Department's Website: https://operations-management.uark.edu/ Summary of Job Duties: The Administrative Specialist position is within the Department of Industrial Engineering and will work primarily with the graduate programs for Master of Science in Operations Management and Master of Science in Engineering Management. The Administrative Specialist will manage the central office, serving as the first point of contact for visitors, while providing administrative support for the department. Responsibilities include providing professional office reception, managing office equipment and supplies, assisting with travel, entering appropriate transactions in Workday, maintaining physical spaces, and other duties as assigned. This role contributes to the growth and development of the MSOM and MSEM programs by assisting program leadership, faculty, and staff with special projects and the preparation of various documents, such as academic standing notifications, administrative reports, recruiting events, and other responsibilities as directed. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
