OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANYFox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content. JOB DESCRIPTION

The Broadcast Maintenance Engineer will perform tasks associated with the installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of various media technologies for three FOX owned and operated multi-platform television stations. Examples include master control and production automation systems, encoding/decoding and various streaming technologies, video switchers, audio mixers, cameras, robotics, character generators, playback servers, transmitters, satellite distribution systems, desktop computers, networking equipment and various facility needs as assigned. System examples include Bitcentral, Evertz, Sony, Panasonic, Calrec, Vizrt Tricaster, Adobe, RTS, LiveU, Arista, Cisco, Rohde & Schwarz, and IHSE. Engineer will play an important role in maintaining and operating these systems to support live programming. Highlights include FOX 35 News, NFL, NCAA football and basketball, MLB, FIFA, NASCAR, and many more.

Requirements:

Previous experience within a television station or similar industry supporting and installing broadcast equipment, production systems, video streaming technologies, and/or IT related components. Skilled with both SDI and IP video standards, such as SMPTE 2110, NDI, and Dante. Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn new technologies. Ability to communicate effectively with management, vendors and co-workers, work efficiently and meet deadlines. Bachelors or associate degree in a television, engineering, or information technology field of study is preferred. Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Must be flexible with schedule and willing to work weekends, holidays and occasional overnight shifts. Ability to lift 50lbs. Must possess a valid drivers' license.
