Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer MUST have or be able to obtain Secret Clearance. They will be working 1st shift, 4/10. This is a W2 contract with potential to convert internally. The opportunity is ONSITE in Owego, NY and candidates must be local or willing to relocate. This resource will be developing mechanical drawings and 3D models for heat exchangers, antennas, frames, chassis, and circuit card assemblies.

Responsibilities


  • Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical drawings and 3D models for defense products.
  • Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical systems.
  • Mechanical Systems include: heat exchangers, antennas, frames, chassis, and circuit card assemblies.

Qualifications

  • Security requirements: Secret Clearance, Interim, or Prior
  • BS Degree and 4-8 YRS or MS Degree and 2-6 YRS experience
  • CREO Software experience required (2-4 years)
  • Prototyping experience required (1-2 years)
  • 3D Modeling experience required (2-4 years)
  • Design for Manufacturing experience required (2-4 years)
  • Additive Manufacturing experience required (1-2 years)
  • Design and release experience desired
  • Communicating Change Board experience desired
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detailed and organized
