Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC is hiring for a Proton Radiation Therapist.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8am - 4:30pm

Pay Range: $55 - $62

Requirements

The Proton/Photon Radiation Oncology Therapist provides high quality radiation therapy care to the patients and their families in Radiation Oncology. The Radiation Oncology Therapist will be a member of a specialized team of caregivers caring for radiation oncology patients at Sibley.

  • Implements, documents, and administers radiation to patients and, with the entire team which includes pediatric and adult patients, monitors clinical and psychosocial needs and responses to therapy
  • Provides education and psychosocial support to patients and families
  • Prepares and applies ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist and under the general supervision of the Manager and Lead Therapist.
  • Operates all Radiation Oncology related equipment, i.e. CT simulator, linear accelerator, QA dosimeters, diode system, and various computer equipment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivelent is required
  • ARRT certification is required
  • BLS certification is required
  • Minimum of 2 years proton experience is highly preferred
