JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you have a passion for excellence and an expertise in luxury Hotel operations? As a key member of the leadership team, this role is responsible for ensuring our teams deliver exceptional experiences for our guests and colleagues, living our values and making "special happen".

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Reporting to the General Manager, your key responsibilities will be:

Operational Management

  • Support the General Manager in the overall management and strategic direction of the hotel.
  • Oversee daily operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, Security, and Food & Beverage, and partner with Engineering, ensuring smooth, seamless luxury service delivery
  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive policies and procedures designed to achieve performance objectives
  • Coordinate with senior leadership to drive new projects, upgrades, and renovations.
  • Maintain a solid working relationship with the Hotel Owners and participate in Owner's meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations and uphold cleanliness and safety standards.

Guest Service

  • Working closely with operational leaders, you will ensure effective and ongoing training is in place to meet RPS and LQA KPIs.
  • Monitor, analyze and implement initiatives to ensure metrics for quality control audits are met
  • Collaborate with department heads to plan and execute hotel policies, processes, and initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, luxury standards, and competitor activities.
  • Partner with leaders across operations to enhance service offerings and implement new trends.

Employee Engagement

  • Provide clear direction, support and mentorship to department managers and colleagues, ensuring our company values, brand and service culture is embraced.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and performance management to build and maintain a high-performing team.
  • Support and participate in a culture of training and development to ensure a strong pipeline of leaders for the future.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment and support employee development programs.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage department budgets, controlling costs and maximizing profitability without compromising quality.
  • Analyze financial statements and operational data to identify revenue growth and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery of services and supplies.
  • Involvement in annual budget preparation and presentation.

Marketing & Sales

  • Support the sales, marketing, and revenue management teams in achieving occupancy and revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to enhance the clients' experience and help secure future contracts.
  • Contribute to short-term and long-term strategic planning for hotel improvement and growth.
  • Assist with Site visits as needed

Qualifications
  • Previous experience within luxury brands at a senior leadership level
  • Extensive Hotel operations experience with a focus on Food & Beverage required.
  • Previous experience within a Union environment required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budget planning and financial controls.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required.
  • University/College degree in a related disciplinepreferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible & reliable.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
