Job Overview

The Director, MarTech, AdTech, and Personalization Solutions is a key member of Macy's Digital and Customer Organization. They drive solution strategy, deliver capabilities, and provide business support for the digital customer experience and media channels.

The Director would facilitate collaboration with business and technology teams, external technology providers, and various other functions. Additionally, they assist with projects that leverage capabilities available through the digital marketing solution stack and maintain ultimate ownership and accountability for operations, improvements, and user support across all paid marketing and marketing analytics solutions.

The ideal candidate is self-driven, with proven experience in developing and executing MarTech, AdTech, Personalization tech roadmaps. They should be adept at identifying new opportunities for system and process improvements, communicating program milestones, and ensuring that cross-project efforts align with the overall vision and strategy. This individual must demonstrate leadership, strategic vision, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to achieve the cross-functional alignment necessary for delivering enterprise-wide solutions and support structures.

What You Will Do



  • Drive the vision, strategy, and delivery of MarTech, AdTech, and Personalization.
  • Evaluate existing capabilities, processes, and business and technology gaps to establish product priorities.
  • Drive analytics and campaign and journey performance measurement solutions.
  • Collaborate with technology teams, media agencies, and vendors to deliver best-in-class digital marketing systems, solutions, and support to end users. Communicate effectively across business and technology teams to ensure transparency and collaboration.
  • Possess expert-level knowledge of full-stack marketing technology providers, such as Adobe Experience Manager (CDP, Journey Optimizer, Journey Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Content Management) or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Adobe Target.
  • Have experience with marketing analytics and reporting, including marketing attribution (last-click and multi-touch).
  • Lead, coach, and manage members of the Personalization and Marketing Solutions team, providing direction, guidance, and prioritization while ensuring individual career growth goals are met.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, engagement, agility, collaboration, and openness.
  • Oversee team expense and project budget planning, forecasting, reconciliation, and expenditure.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities


Skills You Will Need

Strategic Leadership: Ability to drive the vision, strategy, and delivery of MarTech, AdTech, and personalization solutions, aligning them with overall business goals.

Technical Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of full-stack marketing technology providers, such as Adobe Experience Manager (CDP, Journey Optimizer, Journey Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Content Management) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, as well as Adobe Target.

Analytics Proficiency: Experience in driving analytics, campaign performance measurement, and marketing attribution, including both last-click and multi-touch models.

Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to facilitate collaboration across business and technology teams, media agencies, and external vendors to deliver effective digital marketing solutions.

Project Management: Experience in evaluating capabilities, processes, and technology gaps to establish product priorities and drive system improvements.

Coaching and Development: Proven ability to lead, coach, and manage teams, ensuring individual career growth while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, management consulting, digital and marketing operations or related field. 4+ years of experience in customer experience platforms, along with direct supervisory and talent development responsibilities.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
