Full Time 40 Hours/Week Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm Remote, Onsite 1 day/month On-Call Rotation Summary: The Cache DBA builds, configures, maintains, and supports the Cache database and Unix/Linux environments Responsibilities:
1. Builds, configures, maintains, and supports the Cache database and Unix/Linux environments
2. Provides database administration for the Cache and DB2 systems.
3. Designs, manages, and monitors Unix/Linux and iSeries environments.
4. Creates standards for server installs as well as performs new installs and upgrades on basic environments.
5. Additional responsibilities include providing Disaster Recovery documentation for the environments under their responsibility and provide performance analysis.
6. Other duties as required. Other information: Technical Expertise 1. Experience in designing, building, configuring, and supporting a large Cache database environment is required.
2. Experience in high availability, database failover models, and hardware architectures in a Unix/Linux and iSeries environment is required.
3. Experience in backup applications for Cache, Unix/Linux, and iSeries systems is required.
4. Experience in SAN connectivity, shell scripting, file transfer protocols [SFTP, SSH], LPAR, and virtualization options is required.
5. Experience in networking protocols, clustering, replication, encryption, tape/disk drives, and backup and restore technologies is required.
6. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
7. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
8. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Cache, Unix/Linux, and iSeries systems is required.
Education and Experience 1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.
2. Certification: EPIC Cache DBA Certification is required within 180 days of hire.
3. Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred.
