Assessor Reviewer Lead

The Assessor Reviewer Lead will be primarily responsible for training team members to conduct assessments and serve as a part-time and backup assessor. In addition, the incumbent will partner with team members' direct managers to develop and implement quality improvement. The incumbent also develops, oversees, and implements the assessment training program and continued monitoring to ensure consistency with assessment tool application guidelines.
This position will begin on December 30th 2024. The position will be a hybrid of on-site in Washington, DC, field assessments and remote.

Essential Functions
  • Serves as a trainer to team members to ensure assessments are conducted thoroughly, accurately, and within specified timeframes and guidelines.
  • Documents review and special project results in workflow documentation system, ensuring data is accurate and timely. Assists in compliance, quality assurance, and field assessor monitoring and precepting.
  • Performs field-based assessments for identified populations in the community and facilities in and around Washington, DC.
  • Documents assessment results for the individual member status and negotiates service plans as needed.
  • Provides ongoing education.
  • Communicates with all health care providers to ensure appropriateness of care.
  • Collaborates with the manager and team members to develop, implement, and complete quality improvement and special project or corrective action initiatives based on review results.
  • This may include technical writing and coordinating the development of materials to promote and support the initiatives or performing extensive research on requested topics to develop projects.
  • Maintains positive relationships with internal and external clients to ensure continued participation.
  • Serves as an SME for the team and for external stakeholders; may be consulted for special projects such as RFP responses.
Requirements
  • Four-year degree or master's degree in nursing and/or social work.
  • Registered nurse (RN) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a current and unrestricted District of Columbia license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Case management and Medicaid experience preferred.
  • Experience completing level-of-need assessments preferred.
  • Experience leading others and quality management preferred.
The estimated salary range in Washington, DC is $94,000 to $112,000 annually. Actual salary amount will be determined based on a number of factors, such as location, education, and experience in alignment with internal equity.
