Based on candidate interest: This position can be regularly scheduled between 30 to 40 hours per week.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provides comprehensive health care to patients in various states of health or illness in collaboration with one or more physicians using guidelines agreed upon with physicians. Practices medicine as part of the Physician directed team in those areas directed to do so by their physician group. Provides care to patients in various states of health and/or illness under the scope of practice developed with their physician group.

Night Compensation Incentive:

Employees that meet the requirements and eligibility criteria will receive a quarterly bonus of three percent (3%) based on total eligible gross wages earned in the quarter.

EDUCATION:

Successful completion of educational program recognized by the national Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, certification as a Vermont Physician Assistant through completion of Board approved apprenticeship and evaluation or graduation from the board-approved P.A. program. Must have P.A. and Bachelor's Degree. Successful completion of a CAAHEP approved PA educational program. NCCPA certification is expected. Must hold certification from the Vt. Board of Medical Practice as a PA. Must have a bachelor's degree, master degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 years as an emergency medicine physician assistant required.
