The Assistant Site Manager requires experience managing and maintaining material handling systems. Must demonstrate a solid understanding of mechanical equipment & components, including drives, gearboxes, sprockets, chains, bearings, guide rollers, and other related equipment. Also have solid electrical skills, including wiring, AC Power, AC Motors, electrical drawing & schematics, and control panels. Knowledge and experience with the following control components are highly prized: Servo Drives, PLC, PC Controllers, DC Power Supplies, and optical devices (i.e., encoders, photo eyes, etc.). This customer site is located in Minden, NV. The position will work swing shift or night shift.

Tasks and Qualifications:
What you will do in this role:
- Must be able to track & measure Key Performance Indicators and Fault Data, evaluate & analyze the data, and implement & direct improvement. Ability to create reports and communication materials to the best report and demonstrate continuous improvement of maintenance and operations of material handling equipment to our customers. Must have working experience with MS Office products.
- Identify predictive maintenance repairs that are required to maintain system availability.
Assist the Resident Site Maintenance Manager with all the following responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate identification and management of spare parts inventories by applying Sprocket CMMS.
- Ensure that the facility is maintained clean and safe and that all personnel under their direction practice safe work habits and abide by the safety rules in accordance with the safety policies set forth by Dematic and its Customers.
- Provide daily, on-site communication with 3PL's warehouse operators and management personnel.
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of building maintenance services, applying third-party providers when necessary.
- Ensure a process for emergency downs (unscheduled vs. scheduled) is in place. This shall include procedures to inform Management, plans for calling in resources, addressing critical issues within Dematic's organization, etc.
- Maintain and adhere to an effective, detailed procedure for addressing blocking issues. Additionally, train the personnel and ensure compliance with the Dematic protocol for handling blocking issues.
- Support expansions, projects, and other changes as the need arises. Any work outside the current scope will be reviewed and mutually agreed upon, and it may require overtime or additional resources to meet the specific tasks.
What we are looking for:
- Associates Degree preferred.
- Demonstrates and applies broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for managed work group(s) and how they support related operations.
- Demonstrates understanding and application of supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action.
- Must have 5 years demonstrated ability in a directly related field and successfully demonstrate Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
- Typically manages non-exempt administrative or technical employees and/or lower-level exempt employees.
