Position Details
The Manager, Facilities Controls and Optimization role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to oversee our multi-site building monitoring portfolio and lead a team dedicated to optimizing building controls and monitoring systems. This role will be pivotal in ensuring our network integrity and, with collaboration with Information Security, design our architecture that reduces our risk profile. The role will drive strategic initiatives to improve energy efficiency, reduce operational costs and risk, and maintain high standards of safety and comfort across our facilities.
You Will
  • Develop and implement strategies for building monitoring, automation, and control systems (HVAC, lighting, solar, generator, electrical).
  • Standardize event response, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system analytics/reporting through process analysis and functional design.
  • Perform risk assessments, health monitoring, and system diagnostics to maintain network and equipment integrity.
  • Provide technical expertise for bids, manage maintenance contracts, and oversee capital improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead strategic initiatives with data science, IT, and integration teams (FCI).
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 1-2 team members as well as cross-functional initiatives to achieve objectives.
  • Maintain operational efficiency of multi-site control systems and lead energy efficiency improvements.
You Have
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Mechanical Engineering or Information Systems or an equivalent combination of IT education and mechanical operation experience Required
  • 7+ years Siemens, Johnson Controls, and/or SCADA control systems and/or Building Management Systems. Preferred
  • 4+ years Partnering with diverse data IT teams and stakeholders. Preferred
  • Communication and interpersonal skills that effectively influence and foster cooperation with partners and stakeholders. (Intermediate proficiency)
  • ASHREA (Intermediate proficiency)
  • PLC, SCADA, Johnson Controls Building systems (Intermediate proficiency)
  • Niagara N4 knowledge (Intermediate proficiency)
  • LEED or CEM (Beginner proficiency)
  • CEM - Certified Energy Manager Certification within 120 Days Preferred
