Primary Purpose The Senior Program Manager - QPS Data Analytics provides project management leadership within the Quality and Patient Safety (QPS) Division Data Analytics Department. This position initiates, manages, plan and controls projects related to data abstraction, analysis, interpretation, and reporting. Contributes to the construction and maintenance of complex reports and dashboards for the Division and throughout the network. Minimum Specifications Education Bachelor's degree in health informatics, information technology, data analytics or a related field of study from an accredited college or university. Preferred education: Master's Degree in Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Public Health, Business Administration or a related field of study from an accredited college or university. Experience
- 3 plus years of experience in data analytics and reporting, preferably safety incident reporting.
- 2 plus years of experience working with healthcare specific business intelligence tools like RL6, Power BI, or Tableau
- 2 plus years of Project/Program Management experience, managing large complex projects and/or programs.
- 2 plus years of experience in a healthcare setting.
Equivalent Education and/or Experience
- May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience from the list above in lieu of specific education and/or experience as explicitly stated above.
Certification/Registration/Licensure
- Prefer a Project Management Professional certification by the Project Management Institute.
- Prefer certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
Skills or Special Abilities
- Must have exposure to reporting tools, database services, preferably to meet safety incident reporting requirements.
- Must have strong data management, analytic and reporting skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge in managing healthcare applications like RL6 that captures safety incidents.
- Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills, with regard to system issues.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities
- Maintains and utilizes healthcare databases and reporting applications necessary for the department to carry out its analytics and reporting functions for patient safety incident reporting, including but not limited to applications like RL6 and related ones.
- Meets customers' analytic needs by designing, testing, and implementing high-value reporting solutions.
- Uses industry standard reporting tools to generate reports, dashboards, and other materials for the division as well as other customer's enterprise wide.
- Facilitates communication and problem resolution with physicians & staff in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaborates with team members to learn business processes and capture requirements relative to proposed solutions.
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with campus-wide representative in working toward the patient safety, clinical quality, and information technology goals of Parkland.
- Constructs complex, easily consumable reports and dashboards from the assigned applications.
- Works with assigned management staff, internal/external customers, and vendors to project, identify, obtain, and resolve conflicting demands on resources.
- Proactively identifies and communicates issues and risk. Recommends and implements mitigation and contingency strategies to ensure project health.
- Serves as a trainer, facilitator, and day-to-day liaison to team members on the capabilities and appropriate use of data reporting systems.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative, responsive customer service with internal and external customers by providing continuous follow through and communication regarding ongoing and ad-hoc report requests.
- Evaluates, recommends, and implements changes to existing safety incident reporting processes, methods, and tools to improve the overall goals of the department and Parkland.
- Works effectively as an individual or as part of an interdisciplinary team.
